The Miami Heat had one of their worst shooting performances of the season in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks Tuesday.

91. 89. Final. 79. 110

When the Miami Heat shoot 36 percent from the field and their opponent makes more than half of their shots for most of the game, there just isn’t much else the crew can do.

The Heat lost its only home game in a 12-game stretch Tuesday, falling to the Milwaukee Bucks in one of the more disheartening games of the season.

Sure, Miami was missing both Goran Dragic and Beno Udrih for the second straight game. And, yes, Dwyane Wade only put in 21 minutes. But, quite frankly, they probably don’t win this game with those guys anyway.

Chris Bosh and Hassan Whiteside combined for 46 points on 15-of-24 from the field (62.5 percent), but the rest of the team was an awful 12-of-50 (24 percent).

The Bucks are a tough matchup for Miami. Milwaukee is long and made getting to the rim difficult for the Heat wings, who couldn’t shoot over them either. However, the Bucks have spent the season well below .500 and the Heat are a better overall team. With or without Dragic, there isn’t much of an excuse for a game like this, other than maybe the fact that they have played six-straight road games.

Three stars

Chris Bosh scored 23 points on 7-of-15 shooting, but it always seems that Miami can’t capitalize on Bosh’s strong performances.

Hassan Whiteside had a strong double-double with 23 points and 18 rebounds and was 8-of-9 from the floor. However, you have to wonder why he only attempted nine shots. Give credit to the Bucks for trying to force him out of the offense, but the Heat needed to find a way to get him the ball more. Related: Dwyane Wade–the man who is best suited at getting Whiteside the rock–played just 21 minutes.

No one else played well, but I’ll give some props to Amar’e Stoudemire who scored six points on 3-of-5 shooting and was a plus-2 plus-minus in six minutes.
