Let us get one thing straight. This is the NBA. And in the NBA, anything can happen. But on paper, Miami got lucky with the way they get to close out the year.

After their (win/loss) against the Nets, the Heat have nine games to go. Among these opponents are the Los Angeles Lakers, the Sacramento Kings, and the Orlando Magic.

Currently, Miami sits fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 43-30 record. And given the remaining schedule ahead, there is a good chance those numbers will only get better.
