If Hassan Whiteside walks in free agency, the Miami Heat could have plenty of cap room to find his replacement.

The Miami Heat struck gold when they took a flyer on a 7-foot underachiever, but as an unrestricted free agent Hassan Whiteside could be on the move, and Pat Riley will need to find a suitable replacement as soon as possible.

But this is where things get tricky. Replacing Whiteside does not necessarily mean finding a new center. If Bosh is healthy, and that’s a big “if,” he can move back to the center position and help spread out the floor while simultaneously transitioning to a more modern style of play. Then Riley would only have to find a new power forward.

However, banking on a player with significant health concerns is extremely risky. The Heat might be better off investing in a reliable center and keeping a hypothetically healthy Bosh at the 4.

Let’s dive in and take a look at a few possible solutions.
