Grading all the Miami Heat’s free agent acquisitions
The deal: One year, $4 million dollars.
Analysis: Johnson should provide some quality defense off the bench. He’s also athletic and can finish in transition, which is good since they Heat want to play faster. However, Johnson’s poor perimeter shooting limits his usefulness.
Based on last year’s production, Johnson’s contract is a slight overpay. But, it’s a one year contract.
On-court Impact: Meh.
Grade: C
