After a frustrating loss to the New York Knicks Friday, Miami Heat players went to the practice court after the game to put some extra work in.

After missing two key free throws down the stretch of the Miami Heat’s loss to the New York Knicks on Friday, Tyler Johnson worked out on the practice court after the game along with his teammate James Johnson, according to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press.

In the last two 2:10 of the Friday’s loss, Tyler Johnson missed two free throws and a layup that could have saved the game for the Heat, who lost to the Knicks 98-94.

It was one of the more frustrating losses of the year for Miami, who have lost twice this season to an under-performing Knicks team. Tyler Johnson on Saturday told reporters that he needed to work out those frustrations on the practice court after the game.

"“I’m fortunate to have people on my team who wanted to come up here and get better with me, so I just had to come up here and relieve some stress,” Johnson said. “It’s nothing that needs to be, you know, emphasis needed to be put on it or anything, it’s something I needed to do for me.”"

We’ve all been there, right? Sometimes when you’re wound up you just need to hit the gym or go for a run. Johnson wanted to leave those frustrations on the court.

"“You just don’t take it home because it’s not fair to take that back to your family. You put so much of your energy and effort into the game and when it doesn’t go the way you want it to it’s easy to be frustrated and then it starts taking over other parts of your life. So I just didn’t want to bing that home because it’s not fair to my people.”"

Johnson’s missed shots late, and Goran Dragic’s struggles to convert late as well, no doubt contributed to Miami’s loss. But this Heat team has found a way to win games late recently — like a game-winning tip in to beat the Pistons.  As bad a loss as it was, there is no reason to panic. After all, the Heat put the work in.
