James Johnson terrorized rims all year as the Miami Heat’s athletic forward made an appearance on the highlight reel a common occurrence. But which five dunks stand out among the rest?

Miami Heat forward James Johnson had a career year by all accounts, doing the little things on both ends of the floor to propel the Heat. Johnson was vital to the Heat’s success in the second half of the year and will be a vital piece of their offseason plans.

But Johnson also had his time in the spotlight and became known for some high-flying dunks throughout the year. Let’s take a look at his five best dunks of the year.

5. The Steph Curry poster

For the sake of name recognition and star power, this is the dunk that got everyone talking. But beyond that, James Johnson putting Steph Curry on a poster is still a very, very good dunk.

One of the things you’ll notice about watching all 36 of James Johnson’s made dunks this year is that he has incredible body control in the air and is routinely able to shift in mid-air. This is one of those moments as he to slide ever so slightly to the left to avoid hitting Curry square, possibly causing an offensive foul.

There are also the external factors working against Johnson that make it more impressive: He first has to split a double team, regather and launch all the while fighting the clock. He converts it right at the end of the first quarter.
