The Miami Heat won’t be picking in the top three of the NBA Draft after all, but they can still find a contributor–or better–with the 14th pick.

As expected, the Miami Heat will have the 14th pick in the NBA Draft. The NBA Draft lottery didn’t provide the lucky break some fans were hoping for, but now we at least know for sure where Miami will be picking (even though they had a 98 percent chance of picking at 14 in the first place, but whatever). So do the Heat, and they’ll be putting their draft board together and trying to guess how the 13 picks ahead of them will play out, eventually figuring out who among the players available at their pick are best suited to come to Miami.

Luckily for Miami, this is one of the deepest drafts in years. It’s loaded with talent, and they should be able to find a contributor in the middle of the first round. A lot of people will point to Kawhi Leonard and Giannis Antetokounmpo being picked around here as evidence you can find a super star outside of the top 10.

While it would be nice for the Heat to find their Greek Freak, it’d also be a success to find a rotation piece. Here we’ll look at all options–from high ceilings to contributors–who could be available when the Heat are on the clock.
