Goran Dragic will masterfully pace the offense

In a conference loaded with star point guards, Dragic has floated under the radar since earning All-NBA Third Team honors in 2014.

Ironically, he put up some of the best numbers of his career last season, and was hardly ever mentioned among the top point guards in the NBA.

For a player to consistently put up 20 points and six assists each night and not receive any recognition whatsoever is unheard of, and that will only fuel Dragic’s resurgence even more this fall.

Dragic will never be a 30-point scorer, but his assist numbers should improve during a full season of Miami’s drive-and-kick offense. This group was rolling during the second half of the season and that confidence will not disappear over the summer.

As Dion Waiters so eloquently put it, this is a group of dogs, and Dragic is perfectly intertwined in that dynamic.

Aside from his impressive passing, Dragic shot the ball from beyond the arc very well, hitting 41 percent of his attempts from 3-point range last season.

Expect to see more of the same, as Dragic is smack-dab in the middle of his prime. He is near his peak as a basketball player, and I expect his best season to-date.
