It’s time to celebrate Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic.

Goran Dragic turned 32 on Sunday, May 6, and let’s just say that 32 has never looked so good.

Having just finished his tenth season in the league, the Miami Heat point guard is aging like a fine wine. He averaged 17.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists a game in 31.7 minutes of play, and was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week, twice.

So considering how steady of a rock the veteran has been for the team this year, it’s only right they shower him with a few gifts.

Like, some job security?

It’s bound to be a busy offseason for the Heat. After finishing sixth in the East and a first-round playoff exit, some changes certainly need to be made. But despite some people already ready to ship him back to the Phoenix Suns, it would be in everyone’s best interest to keep Dragic in South Florida.

Nothing says happy birthday more than the guarantee of continuing to play in Miami.

Except maybe some foul calls.

Look, it’s no secret that lately, NBA officiating has been sketchy at best. It’s happening league wide, in regular season play and beyond, night after night.

However, the Slovenian-native has never really gotten the respect he deserves.

(Remember when he lost a tooth, then got called for the offensive foul?)

Therefore, it would be great if this upcoming year, Dragic could find himself on the other side of calls.

A healthy Dion Waiters would be exceptional, too.

Imagine what a huge smile another round of 7-11 Basketball would bring to Dragic’s face.

Having to undergo ankle surgery after seeing time in just 30 games this year, Waiters was sidelined for the remainder of 2017-18 play. Which means that Dragic had to play without his right hand man. Not exactly ideal.

But now, with the shooting guard rehabbing, the duo may have another run in them after all. Barring any complications, or either being traded off this summer, of course.

And speaking of the summer, how about some offseason Dragic-gear?

James Johnson has been known to wear t-shirts representing his teammates here and there, most notably Udonis Haslem. So, why not get the 32-year-old’s mug on one?

At this point, the Heat may as well acknowledge that aside from Dwyane Wade, Dragic is their headliner. Between Hassan Whiteside having a lackluster season, and Miami lacking a true, so-called superstar, the point guard shines bright.

Time for his teammates to launch some Dragon merchandise.

Next: Should Josh Richardson be the Miami Heat's number one option?

Here’s to you, Goran Dragic.
