Speaking of the schedule, talk a little about how the team’s recent social media teases made you feel…

Rahming: I felt a bit toyed with. For an organization that’s made practically zero moves, I find it weird we would drop such big hints that didn’t lead to anything unique to the organization. The hint ended up being about the new schedule… yawn. This is something that happened for all the other 29 teams. Not to sound ungrateful but sheesh. Can’t a brother get a little something more? You should’ve seen us here at AllUCanHeat trying to decrypt what James Johnson posterizing Victor Oladipo could possibly mean. Popular votes around NBA Twitter were new uniforms, James Johnson being cleared from injury (although most assumed this was a given), and Dwyane Wade returning to the Heat for his 16th season (Johnson’s jersey number). The last was everyone’s favorite choice for obvious reasons. Although the Heat always have a mean uniform game, I highly doubt they’d be able to top the Vice campaign. I’m still waiting on my jersey, but that’s another story for another day.

Keaton: I haven’t had the same fervor for basketball in a few years, thanks to Kevin Durant (and president Pat Riley), so I can’t say that the teasers really had me overly hyped.

Gewirtz: I felt indifferent about the posts because I was almost 100 percent sure the Heat would never announce a trade or anything involving a roster move in that way. I was more confused than anything because the NBA does a schedule release anyway, so hyping it up was not really necessary.

Ebrahim: To everyone who is in their feelings about the recent social media teases… get over it. My personal bet was on them announcing a new facility for the e-sports team they have, Heat Check Gaming. I was wrong, clearly. But to anyone who was thinking it was going to a major trade and was looking into who they were marketing in the posts, did you really think that’s how they’d announce it? No.
