With Miami Heat fans seemingly distraught this summer, president Pat Riley has some work to do in 2018-19.

Anyone who has doubts about Miami Heat president Pat Riley, can click out now.

You’re looking at a guy who will live and die with Riley as the president, and while Andy Elisburg is the general manager, you know Riley is pulling the strings in the background.

This is the man that brought Miami their first championship with Shaquille O’Neal, Dwyane Wade, Alonzo Mourning and the crew. If that wasn’t enough, he followed it up by executing a meticulous plan of clearing almost the entire team in an attempt to woo a Big Three of Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh.

To top it all off, the team made four straight Finals with one of the best teams in the history of the league and brought home two rings while Riley kept attracting solid players like Shane Battier (perhaps a future general manager?) and Ray Allen.

Yes, he’s the same guy who maxed out Bosh after James left. And he’s the same guy that nearly destroyed the relationship with Wade (only to eventually mend that fence). He did sort of also decimate the cap situation in Miami by handing out money like he was Drake in his “God’s Plan” music video (more on that later though)…

But you can’t doubt this man’s resume. And nothing should eliminate the championships he’s brought to the Heat over his tenure with the team.

As for this season, with the current state of the team, there’s only so much he can do.

But you know me, I still have some suggestions…
