Dwyane Wade may not have committed to re-signing with the Miami Heat yet, but it sure seems like he’s going to.

Let’s get something out of the way: if Dwyane Wade doesn’t retire this summer, he’s returning to the Miami Heat.

So everyone can go ahead and stop trying to figure out how the Los Angeles Lakers can make room for him alongside bestie LeBron James, or what other team can afford to pay him more than what president Pat Riley can offer.

For the NBA superstar, it’s South Florida or nothing.

And lately, it seems like fans may soon have something to celebrate.

Wade has by no means confirmed another year in the league, but all signs point to him not being done with basketball just yet.

Take the fact that he hosted his own training camp in San Clemente, California just yesterday.

In attendance were Jimmy Butler, C.J. McCollum, Donovan Mitchell and Jahlil Okafor, all putting in work in anticipation of the upcoming 2018-19 season.

Now Wade helping prepare a group of guys for the year ahead doesn’t necessarily indicate his desire to return to the court himself, but there’s no denying by his own participation that he’s obviously keeping his body game-ready.

There’s also the fact that teammate Justise Winslow was a part of it all, including joining the veteran for a Stance event earlier this week.

Since being drafted in 2015, Winslow has always referred to Wade as a mentor, immensely appreciating his return to the organization this past February.

"“He’s a big brother to me,” Winslow said of Wade. “He’s invited me to hang out, help me on my game, watch film. He’s a stand-up guy, it’s been a blessing to play alongside him and learn from him.”"

In fact, Winslow revealed there was even a little animosity from his end towards Wade when he left for the Chicago Bulls in the summer of 2016, because of how much the 22-year-old had grown to depend on Wade through his transition into the NBA.

So Wade continuing to keep Winslow close, could potentially be another sign of him sticking around for at least an additional year.

The 36-year-old has also been quite active on social media lately, especially in regards to Heat-related content.

It isn’t all retweets and likes either. Wade has clearly had Miami on his mind all summer.

While both fans and the franchise itself would more than happily welcome him back with open arms, it’s obviously a little more complicated than that.

Between his oldest son Zaire turning 16 and already expected to soon receive multiple Division I offers, and his wife Gabrielle Union staying active with ventures such as acting and a clothing line, Wade may feel as though it’s time to step out of the limelight.

Still, it seems only right that he end his career by spending a full year with the Heat.
