The Miami Heat couldn’t get it done on Tuesday night, falling short 125-113 to the Charlotte Hornets.

Another night, another loss for the Miami Heat.

After coming up short 123-113 against the Sacramento Kings on Monday, October 29, the Heat followed suit and fell 125-113, at the mercy of the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday.

What’s worse is that it was their second loss to the Hornets, who are also a member of the league’s Southeast Division.

There’s always a bright side though.

For starters, Miami will face Charlotte twice more this season; first, on March 6 and then again on March 17.

It’s also way too early to hit the panic button.

And while the team’s fourth loss was certainly hard to watch, there were still bright spots that should give fans at least an iota of confidence, moving forward.

Calling Wayn3

There really should be no excuse for the way the Heat fell apart against the Hornets, but at the end of the day, the injury bug still bites.

The team was once again without James Johnson and Dion Waiters, both who have yet to be cleared or given any real timetable as to their return.

As well as Wayne Ellington, who is patiently awaiting his debut.

Having been cleared three games ago, the sharp-shooter has yet to enter the rotation, a choice head coach Erik Spoelstra hasn’t commented too much on. Regardless of his reasoning though, fans can rest assured that once the guard does come back, Miami will be a different beast all together.

Last season, Ellington averaged a career-high 11.2 points a game, on 40.7 percent shooting from the field and 39.2 percent shooting from downtown; seeing time in 77 contests total, in 26.5 minutes of play.

Numbers that the Heat are currently very much missing.

When the 30-year-old will make it back to the court remains up in the air, but him making it Wayn3 is definitely something to look forward to.

In His Bag

Dwyane Wade is now a 3-point threat.

No, this isn’t a Halloween trick. The 36-year-old is steadily proving that it’s never too late to pick up a new skill.

Currently averaging 13.1 points a game on 42.0 percent shooting from the field, he’s also making 44.8 percent of his shots from downtown.

And yes, you better believe that’s a career-high.

As for last night, he walked away with 19 points on 6-for-10 shooting, including a whopping 4-of-6 from 3-point land; all in just 25 minutes of play.

Win or lose, the veteran is definitely in his bag lately.

The Miami Heat will take on the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday, November 3 at 7:30 PM ET.
