At this point in time, it’s pretty evident that Josh Richardson is the future face of the Heat.

(And to think there are still people out there that want to move him in order to get Jimmy Butler.)

Currently averaging 21.4 points on 43.9 percent shooting from the field and 41.2 percent from downtown, the fourth-year is making sure that this year, the league knows his name.

He recently set a career-high when he scored 31 points versus the Sacramento Kings on October 29, only to then set another on November 3 against the Atlanta Hawks, having scored 32 points on 10-for-18 shooting (6-of-10 from downtown).

However, this goal started last season, with it becoming clear Wade was on his way out.

People certainly took note too, thanks to performances like the one Richardson had against the Houston Rockets on February 7, 2018.

The swingman finished with 30 points in 39 minutes, on 11-for-20 shooting from the floor (including going a whopping 7-of-9 from 3), alongside four rebounds and five assists.

(It should be noted that this was in a game during which James Harden scored 41 points, in 36 minutes.)

Unfortunately, his performance wasn’t enough to keep the team afloat though, and they ended up falling 109-101, despite Dragic also going off; the guard recorded 30 points of his own (in 38 minutes), shooting a solid 11-of-17 from the field, while also having grabbed three rebounds and dished six assists.

As for Whiteside, he put his best foot forward with 16 points and 17 rebounds in 33 minutes.
