It’s time for the last AllUCanHeat Miami Heat 1-on-1 of 2018.

Let’s jump right into it: what are your personal resolutions for 2019, as a Miami Heat fan?

Allana Tachauer (@allanatachauer): Honestly, the only thing I can think of that I need to work on in terms of my support for the Miami Heat, is fully trusting head coach Erik Spoelstra again. Up until last season, I was ride or die for him and backed his every move, even when others were already starting to question his rationale a bit. For me, whatever Spoelstra said and/or did, was the be-all end-all. However, lately, I’ve been feeling uneasy about some of his calls, especially in regards to late-game rotations. And truthfully, I think a lot of it has to do with not playing Hassan Whiteside as much as he could/should be. But from this moment on, I’m going to stop second-guessing his decisions, and just keep the faith. In Spoelstra We Trust.

Brandon Johnson (@bjohnsonNBA): First and foremost, I will never speak a bad word about Whiteside during the entirety of 2019. Why? Well, that drive he had against the Toronto Raptors was proof of what he is capable of. Will it happen every time down the court? Honestly, I sure hope not. But rather than bemoaning him for not giving up the ball after he gets a touch, I’ll be more receptive to him trying new things, as I was with Justise Winslow. Otherwise, my resolution is to decide on what I want from the Miami Heat store. Believe it or not, I haven’t gotten any of the new Vice threads yet, soI’m hoping to decide on something soon.
