So you believe that the front office should still try to make a trade by the deadline?

Tachauer: I think at this point, while I’d understand if the organization were to maybe try and put feelers out in order to make a small move or two by the deadline (perhaps something involving Wayne Ellington, since for whatever reason, he’s not really being utilized?), I don’t really think it’s necessary. With this group finally seeming to find its chemistry again, and the team unfortunately not being cut out for a title this year, I would prefer it if the franchise just saw how far this roster could go this season. And then, of course, try and re-evaluate the situation, come the summer. I mean, they haven’t even ever been fully healthy yet. Dion Waitersreturn could turn out to actually be a game-changer. One really never knows. They say patience is a virtue, and I believe that definitely holds true in this case.

Johnson: Really, what’s the rush? Unless the team clears house, which presents an entirely other problem I hope to never have to concern myself with, why risk having to go through a rebuild? That’s so not president Pat Riley‘s style anyways. Also, I’d hate to see any of the current roster have to leave in the middle of Wade’s final season, given the strong relationship he’s built with everyone. Plus, we haven’t even seen this team at full potential yet. No Waiters, no Goran Dragic, and Ellington is still on-and-off. I say let’s just see how everything plays out, and shoot for a trade during the offseason.
