Factor no. 3 – Stop Irving, Tatum, Brown, Smart, Morris, Rozier, … ugh
This last factor is pretty simple, the Boston Celtics are just a better team than the Miami Heat, no matter what way you look at it.
The prime example of this is how I’ve not even mentioned the best player on this team in Kyrie Irving, yet the 2 factors before this focused on other players for the Celtics. This Boston team is truly an Anthony Davis away from possibly being the best team in the league, and that’s pretty scary when the Golden State Warriors are still put together with their All-Star group.
Essentially, as a Heat fan, you’re going to have to hope that Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson can hold down the helm of this team in Kyrie Irving, and that no one else steps up. Luckily, players like Tatum and Brown have been having excessive sophomore slumps (especially Brown), meaning that all Miami needs is one of their double digit million dollar players to have a good game.
But, and there’s always a but, the entire Miami team has been slumping for the past 6 games (3-3) and has been looking for answers in the form of “hope.”
Ultimately, I give Boston the edge in this game, unless we can see some late-game heroics from Dwyane Wade or Dion Waiters (by the way, Wade will probably give his jersey to Irving).
Tune in to this Boston Celtics game tomorrow night at American Airlines Arena, 7 PM Eastern.
