In this trade idea, the Miami Heat would send Hassan Whiteside, Dion Waiters, and a first round pick to the Washington Wizards in return for Otto Porter Jr. and Dwight Howard.

Much like the previous trade, the Heat would get a nice backup center to Bam in Dwight Howard, who could help be a solid veteran to a similar talent in Bam. Otto Porter is actually a step up from Jabari Parker because you don’t have the same questions in terms of personality fit.

In conclusion, I would love to see this move for Miami going forward.

Getting rid of Waiters and Whiteside is a key to Miami’s future and I believe it would help clear up any issues they have in the current rosters chemistry. Moreover, clearing their empty cap space for numbers that don’t help produce any tangible success would be a huge plus.

Porter Jr. would be the perfect stretch four to place next to Bam and – when Dragic is healthy – then you can have a solid Dragic, Richardson, Winslow, Porter Jr., and Adebayo lineup.

Any of these deals would make me happy, but Washington seems to be the one waiting to rebuild the quickest, as they also may try and tank for Zion Williamson this summer.

In conclusion, it’s time to sink Waiters’ island.
