Bobby Portis, Chicago Bulls

As I have previously stated about the Chicago Bulls, it is insane drama in the Windy City.

Bobby Portis is infamously known for breaking his former-teammates nose in Nikola Mirotic. And while that may seem pretty cool to readers, I just read that as plain-drama. If Miami does intend on making a deal with the Bulls, I would much rather them fight for Lopez (replace Whiteside’s contract), or grab Parker (potential starter).

Portis is a good versatile player on paper, but the emotional issues are a real problem moving forward, you can not break a teammates face and act like you deserve recognition for good play around the league. There isn’t some unwritten “ethics code” in the league, but if there were, Bobby Portis would be one of the main examples of what NOT to do.

Ultimately, I know Heat nation is desperate, but Miami’s organization is a respectful one and they deserve good talent, but also humble talent. The new culture the Heat have wasn’t built by the ego of Waiters and Whiteside, it was built by the grit and grind of Tyler Johnson, Rodney McGruder, Justise Winslow, Josh Richardson, and Goran Dragic.

I am not too sure that Portis can fit his way into that group of guys.
