Kent Bazemore, Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks have a 29-year old on an expiring contract that happens to be already one of the more savvy veterans around the league, who also happens to be reported as a player the Hawks are looking to move by the deadline.

The Heat are full of savvy veterans already; who have utilized their crafty play to get long-term deals and create a solid foundation in Miami, think James Johnson, Kelly Olynk and Goran Dragic.

Adding Kent Bazemore to a team full of players that are similar to his talents may be a great idea for Baze as he is on an expiring contract and will most likely move on to Golden State by summer time. Bazemore was supposed to be who Justise Winslow is today, so I am sure there is a lot of advice to be given right there too.

Moreover, Bazemore would have instant-value on this Heat team, who is in dire need of a solid backup wing to Winslow once Dragic comes back from injury and retakes his starting position at point guard.

Ultimately, much like all of these deals, if Miami just gives up Tyler Johnson, Wayne Ellington and a draft pick for Bazemore, why not try this out to switch things up? Not to mention, D-Wade and Baze are close friends and I could see a veteran like Baze being a soothing fit next to Wade as he finishes his career. And to be honest, the respect factor of a vet like Baze might help Waiters’ personality issues out before he makes this team implode.
