The Good, Bad and Miami Heat Culture: Post-All-Star outcomes?
The Culture
This has been quite a last couple of weeks for The Culture. Chris Bosh announced that he will officially retire after his jersey is retired with the Heat in March. Dwyane Wade participated in his last All-Star game and it was everything.
According to reporting by Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, it was one of Wade’s most memorable All-Star weekends.
"“I had some cool moments. I got the moments I wanted,” Wade said. “It feels like this whole weekend has been that way. You visualize something and you hope it goes that way, and it definitely has. It went way beyond what I thought. But to have the moment that I visualized, that’s all I needed.”"
One of those moments was during the game when Wade threw a lob to LeBron James.
The nostalgia was way too real with that one.
Regardless of what happens with the Heat this season, playoffs or not, most fans will remember 2018-19 as the #OneLastDance. Sure, it is great when the team plays well and fans can see improvement in the youth, but there is only one Wade and this is a season of a lot of lasts for him.
Going into these last 26 games — regardless of how fans feel about Heat Culture or Pat Riley or the future or anything else in regards to this team — the main focus should be on enjoying Wade and his game. Looking back on this season years from now, that is what will actually be remembered.
