This may be Dwyane Wade’s Last Dance in his own mind, but he’s looking like the best b-boy in the crew. That was definitely the case in Saturday’s win over the Washington Wizards, a much-needed victory for the Miami Heat’s potential playoff future.

Saturday night’s game against the scrapping Washington Wizards was one of the typical nature when thinking about past matchups between the divisional foes. It was a close game from beginning to end, aside from an early run by the Wizards that quickly saw the Miami Heat close the gap. Something else that was also typical, and especially throughout this season, was vintage Dwyane Wade.

Although the Heat had six players score in the double digits, D-Wade led the bunch with a 20-point night. He also pitched in nine rebounds and five dimes, which wasn’t too shabby at all. As often the case with Flash though, it wasn’t just the size of the numbers that made this a vintage performance, it was when he got those numbers that made them as huge as they were.

It seemed like whenever the Heat needed someone to make a play, D-Wade was the one making it, or at least had a major part in it. The last shot by Kelly Olynyk with 16 seconds left that really sealed the deal in this one, an assist from D-Wade. The shot with six seconds left in the first half to pull the Heat within one point at 53-52, a 3-pointer from D-Wade.

Dwyane Wade was everywhere tonight, and the Heat needed him to be. As the Orlando Magic handled their own business on last night against the Memphis Grizzlies, this game was a must-have for the Heat. As the two face off on Tuesday night in Miami, they would have loved nothing more than to pull even with Miami prior to that game.

Dwyane Wade seemed as if he was totally aware of it all, which he more than likely was, as he looked as if he wasn’t going to let his team lose. Another play that really stood out was one where D-Wade was at the free throw line and after missing the second free throw, not only did he grab his own board but simultaneously hit an open Olynyk for a dime before ever coming back down. That particular play can be seen at around 24 seconds in the video below.

Again, Father Prime was in rare form tonight and the Miami Heat needed every bit of it. With the way he has been playing this season, he seems primed for a sneaky good playoff showing. Furthermore, he seems as if he could do this for at least another year or two, so let’s hope the guys at the top of the Heat organization see the same thing. He gave the Heat everything they needed on this night, as he has for the most of 15 years.

The Miami Heat must address this major issue going forward. dark. Next

P.S. COME BACK NEXT YEAR 3!
