The Culture

These could be Wade’s final few games if the Heat do not make the playoffs. Wade retiring? It is still insane to think about and hard to comprehend whether you are a Heat fan or just a fan of the game.

It is even more difficult to understand when Wade is doing things like hitting game winners over the Golden State Warriors and still contributing to the team both on and off the court.

Recently in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Wade said what we all knew:

"“I could play another year. But for me, it’s time. No one really gets to walk away from the game at the perfect time. No one’s ending is perfect. I have more left, but I don’t want to empty it all out.”"

Prior to Wade’s last regular season game April 9, the Heat will be honoring him and doing a special tribute for fans to take part in. Regardless of whether the Heat make the playoffs, it is going to be a special night and an addition to the hundreds of special moments that Wade has made in his career.
