The Miami Heat were a lesson on volatility this season, going up, then down, then back up. How can they be better next season?

The Miami Heat had quite a few glaring issues with this past seasons team. Although some stood out a bit more than others, they were all crucial when it came down to winning or losing ball games.

Being in the thick of the playoff hunt practically up until the last game of the season, the margin for error grew increasingly smaller with every ticking minute and every mounting mistake. Without being able to get enough done to make the postseason, the Miami Heat would eventually find themselves on the outside looking in, and they stayed there.

Although they were far from a great team this past season, they were not that far off from a team with a playoff berth. If they had just had a few more plays go their way, they may have ended up in the post season, but they may have also earned a bid if they’d alleviated just a few of their own issues. Here are three of those issues, that if corrected, would all but guarantee the Miami Heat a slot in next year’s post season.
