The Miami Heat will officially select at pick number 13 in the NBA Draft. Here are a few staff picks from a few of the people at All U Can Heat!

With the Miami Heat set to go off with the 13th pick in this year’s NBA draft, the AUCH staff takes an early look at some of the potential Miami Heat prospects. Of course, the following picks are under the assumption that the players mentioned might be available when the Heat select, there is no sure-fire way to be sure with the coming NBA combine sure to have an impact on draft order and status. With that in mind though, let’s get right to it.

Grant Williams (Junior)-Tennesee-Forward

If available, Grant Williams could really fit the Miami Heat roster as it trends towards length and positionless fluidity. He could bring versatility and shooting, and while the Heat could use skilled ball handlers more than anything, Williams looks like he may be the best player available when the 13th pick rolls around.

Kenneth’s Take– While Williams looks like he has all the tools to one day be a very good pro at the next level, there are a few players that could offer a bit more to the Miami Heat at the 13th pick. The 6’7″ forward did put up very intriguing numbers during this past season though, while also showing off a versatile skill set.

According to the official University of Tennessee sports website, he averaged 18.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and a block and a half per game in route to being named SEC Player Of The Year for the second straight season and a Unanimous First Team All-American. However, he would still be down the list quite a bit when ranking potential prospects for the Miami Heat at 13. Great prospect, too high of a pick to take him there though.
