Picks 10-7

125. The Atlanta Hawks need a physical defensive minded rim protector to possibly pair along side John Collins. Bruno Fernando can be that guy. He has a good motor and will rebound the heck out of the ball, although he is capable of getting a bucket on the block, he excels at doing the dirty work. He should fit well with Trae Young on the pick and rolls where he is the roll guy as a pretty good athlete and a very strong finisher near the rim.. Forward. Hawks. Bruno Fernando. 10. player

Forward. Wizards. Rui Hachimura. 9. player. 142. Rui Hachimura is set to become the first Japanese player ever drafted in the first round of the NBA draft. The Gonzaga product could be a steal for the Washington Wizards if he dropped to them at the ninth pick. He’s an excellent scorer and disciplined defender who should be poised to make the leap at the NBA level.

Guard. Hawks. Keldon Johnson. 8. player. 125. Keldon Johnson is a physical force with a 6’6″, 215 lbs frame. The Hawks currently have three draft picks on the board (although it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a package of picks in play to try to trade up), and Johnson could be a good backcourt pairing with Trae Young. He plays bigger than his position, able to outrebound his opponents and post up smaller guards, and he can compliment Young’s shooting with a 38.1 percent 3-point shooting rate.

7. player. 24. There may be some concerns for Darius Garland coming off a season-ending knee injury which held him to just five games in his freshman season, but his talent should simply overwhelm those worries. He figures to go in the top 10 almost surely, and we have him going seventh to the Chicago Bulls.. Guard. Bulls. Darius Garland
