The Miami Heat do not currently have a second-round pick in this year’s NBA draft. Here are three prospects who would be worth attempting to acquire one.

When you hear the name P.J. Tucker, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Perhaps that he is an avid sneakerhead, one of the toughest cats in the league, and a key figure in the Houston Rockets starting lineup. When you hear Goran Dragic, the first thing you probably think about is a tenacious combo guard who has been one of the best players for the Miami Heat over the past few seasons.

When you hear the name Monta Ellis, what comes to mind? Perhaps that for a few years, he was one of the most electric guards in the entire NBA. What you probably didn’t know is that all of these guys, among many other notable NBA players like Isaiah Thomas, Draymond Green, Nikola Jokic, DeAndre Jordan and the Heat’s own Hassan Whiteside, were once upon a time second-round NBA draft selections.

With these names in mind, as in many past seasons, there are sure to be a few second rounders this year that will turn out to be complete steals around the NBA. Here are a few second round picks that the Miami Heat should think about making a move for in their quest to find a diamond in the rough.

Among the biggest underdogs in a round that is dedicated to underdogs, our look starts with a Division II star.
