Wings
James Johnson
James Johnson‘s games played, minutes and points per game have plummeted the past three seasons and he has two years and $31.4 million left on his contract. He has one of the most immovable contracts on the Miami Heat roster, which is saying something considered the bloated status of the organization’s books. James Johnson’s trade value is heavily negative and would require significant incentives for other teams to trade for him.
Josh Richardson
A former second-round pick, Josh Richardson is the best of the wings on the team by far and has a contract worth $32.6 million over the next three seasons. He has one of the more valuable contracts on the roster and most definitely has a positive trade value, and the highest of the wings on roster.
Derrick Jones Jr.
Derrick Jones Jr. has a non-guaranteed minimum salary of $1.65 million for the coming season, which could boost his value somewhat for a team looking to acquire his salary for the purposes of waiving and clearing space. Derrick Jones Jr. has slightly positive trade value as a result.
Duncan Robinson
Duncan Robinson has another non-guaranteed minimum salary, this one worth $1.4 million. Much like Jones, he could be acquired by a team looking to clear salary. In fact, Robinson and Jones could be the kind of contracts included as sweeteners in a deal with a big negative value contract, so Duncan Robinson’s trade value is indeed positive.
