Miami Heat big man Kelly Olynyk has been the consummate worker since his arrival. Here are three goals he should have for this upcoming season.

Kelly Olynyk is a perfect Miami Heat player. From his hard-working mentality to his do or die gritty attitude, Olynyk has it all.

Throw in the fact that he is a near 7-footer, with as many skills as he has, he is probably the dream player to a coach like Erik Spoelstra and Team President Pat Riley. While he can man the five position, his mobility and skill set makes him the perfect stretch 4 in today’s NBA game.

While Olynyk does everything well and efficiently for the most part when he sees the floor, there are a few things he should look to improve or increase his output on. Here are three goals for the big man for next season.

Be More Aggressive

While being more aggressive typically means that you would like the player to go for more shots on the offensive end, hit the boards harder while rebounding, or get tighter on the opposing player or in the passing lanes on defense, here it means in every aspect. While the aforementioned aspects are all areas where you want Olynyk to excel, it specifically means two things more than any other for him.

On the offensive end, Olynyk should be taking more shots. His 7.1 field goals attempted last season were ranked ninth on the Miami Heat’s roster. With his skill and offensive ability, he should be looking to get his shot up more.

Not only will this help him as in individual to stay more engaged in everything that is going on, but we are also talking about a Miami Heat team that at times struggled to create offense or make shots. If Olynyk is more aggressive on the offensive end of the floor, that will only help to remedy this issue heading into this upcoming season.
