Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra certainly has his work cut out for him this upcoming season. Here are three goals for Heat head man, Coach Spo.

The Miami Heat and Miami Heat fans are still somewhat riding a high with the acquisition of Jimmy Butler over the summer. While that feeling will still last for a short while longer, it will be time to lace ’em up in about a month or do.

With the new faces on this Miami Heat team, Jimmy Butler and a slew of others, Coach Spo has quite a bit of figuring to do. Here are three goals for Erik Spoelstra entering and throughout this upcoming season.

Figuring Out How To Maximize Jimmy Butler

Coach Spo has a very interesting year ahead of him. While he does have the difficult task of figuring out how to get the most out of his star acquisition, said star should make that particular task a bit easier than if it were another player.

Jimmy Butler is the consummate workaholic. If you were going into a lab with the Miami Heat in mind to create a player, Jimmy Butler or someone very very similar is the player you would leave with.

While Coach Spoelstra does have to manipulate and contour the X’s and O’s to best suit Butler’s skill set, Butler should make for an easier adjustment on Spo’s behalf. While Butler can operate all over the floor for the most part, he really seems to love that mid-post to mid-block area of the floor. That should be the focal point of what Spo tries to do with him.

Again in considering that we are talking about a player like Jimmy Butler, a guy that takes joy and pride in working hard and outworking the next guy, it won’t be impossible or the hardest thing to accomplish by any means. That is Spo’s first goal though, to figure out how to get the most out of Jimmy Butler for this particular Miami Heat team.
