Get This Miami Heat Team To 50 Or More Wins

The Miami Heat haven’t cracked the 50 win threshold since 2013-2014, LeBron’s last season with the team. They have only cracked the 45 win mark once since then, with that season being the 2015-2016 season, one that saw them lose in the Eastern Conference Playoff Semifinals.

Some people will look at this team and that lofty goal as a pipe dream, but it can be done. Although they only won 39 games last season, there were at least 10 games that they could or should have won. These were games that the Heat either held a large lead in or led in the closing moments, only to give up those leads in both situations.

This was probably a function of not having a “guy” who could hit the big shot to stop the bleeding on huge comebacks or hit the shot to close the door in the final moments. They have that guy now in Jimmy Butler.

Another source of encouragement and conviction in the fact that they can get to 50 wins this season is in the season prior to last, a season that saw them win 44 games with practically this same roster, save for a few additions and subtractions. If you take what they lost, Hassan Whiteside, his antics, and most importantly Josh Richardson but add a Jimmy Butler, they should be able to get to that 50 wins number.

This team has the most potential that the Miami Heat have had since LeBron’s last season with the team. That is why Coach Spo’s last goal is to try and get this squad to at least 50 wins.

Next. Why Erik Spoelstra is still one of the top coaches in the NBA. dark

This team has the chance to do some really good things this season in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. With the way that things have played out this summer, it should give them a very good chance to compete. If Spo can accomplish these goals or perhaps even surpass them, then the Miami Heat should be in for a great year.
