In our mid-week edition of Miami Heat Hot Topics, we’ll run through what we’ve been writing about the Heat lately here at All U Can Heat.

In today’s mid-week edition of Miami Heat Hot Topics, we’ll catch up on the stories we’ve written so far this week here at All U Can Heat. As our Three Goals series wraps up and we look ahead to the summers of 2020 and 2021, we’re looking both within and without in our coverage of the Heat this week

Without further delay, we’ll recap what we’ve been writing about the Heat.

3 goals for KZ Okpala in 2019-20:

3 goals for Kelly Olynyk in 2019-20:

3 goals for Meyers Leonard in 2019-20:

3 goals for Jimmy Butler in 2019-20:

As we near the end of our Three Goals series, we cover the bases for KZ Okpala, Kelly Olynyk, Meyers Leonard and Jimmy Butler. Four very different players with a variety of different goals spread among them, and our writers covered the bases with the entire group over the past few days.

Digesting what the Heat have accomplished this summer:

The Miami Heat certainly had a big splash of an offseason. They pulled off a blockbuster trade in the early hours of free agency, acquiring Jimmy Butler in a four-team sign-and-trade, and drafted a shooter in Tyler Herro. Without a doubt, the Heat got better, and our Kenneth Wilson takes a look at just how and why.

Yante Maten waived before guarantee date:

As expected, Yante Maten was waived before his August 1st guarantee date. This was done in order clear a roster spot and stay under the luxury tax apron (the hard cap for the Heat thanks to the Butler sign-and-trade). Most likely, this will result in the  Heat signing Udonis Haslem or another veteran on a minimum contract.

An early look at the summer of 2020 for the Heat:

With 2019’s offseason machinations likely being largely finished, it’s about time to look forward to the summer of 2020 (and look on a bit further to the next free agency bonanza in 2021). Most likely, the Miami Heat will aim to bolster their talent with short-term deals in order to keep the powder clean for 2021, but as we’ve seen this summer, there may be a surprise move left in store either this summer or next.
