Miami Heat: Popeyes’ Chicken sandwiches pass the Wade Family test
The world is still in a craze over whose chicken sandwich is better between Popeyes and Chick-Fil-A. Even Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade couldn’t resist.
In case you have been living under a rock for the last several weeks, the fast-food chain Popeyes has a new chicken sandwich that is all the rage. The craze really kicked off when the social media sphere started to make the claim that this new sandwich may just be better than the famed signature chicken sandwich from another very popular chain of restaurants, Chick-Fil-A. The chatter has been so big around the internet that some have estimated the publicity garnered from the sandwich going viral can be estimated out to about $25 million worth of advertising.
Well, it must be a hit. So much so that there have been tons of restaurants in the Popeyes chain that have not only been swamped and overrun with potential customers but left having to post signs and signals to let customers know that they are out of the sandwiches at the moment, with most signaling that they won’t have any until the following day.
Not only are regular folks being disappointed when they find out that their local Popeyes is out of the sandwiches, but it has also even crossed over into the celebrity world. Popular CBS journalist Gayle King even reportedly tried 15 different locations, but still couldn’t land a sandwich. Another celebrity that did accomplish the goal of feasting on the new sandwich though is Miami Heat legend, one Dwyane Wade.

Dwyane Wade and his lovely wife Gabrielle Union definitely seemed pleased with the Popeyes chicken sandwiches. While Wade’s appreciation is evident in the caption, Union can be seen doing a nice little jig as she bites into her own sandwich.
The Chicken sandwiches have sent the entire country into a tizzy and rightfully so. Truthfully and from a personal perspective, the Popeyes version is a little better than that of Chick-Fil-A because they use the same seasonings on the filet as they do on the rest of their chicken products. That is what separates the two.
Go for it Wade family. Dig in! They are definitely worth devouring.
