Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade is retired but obviously not completely removed from the game. He’ll be working out with LeBron pre-game this season.

When Dwyane Wade announced that last season would be his final season for the Miami Heat, it sent a certain chill down the spines of many. Even though he had left before once again returned to his de facto home in Miami, he was still the face of an organization, an era, and the championships that had been won during his tenure as a player with the Miami Heat.

While Miami Heat faithful would have had him as long as he chose to be there, he decided it was time for him to walk away, or did he? This apparently was just as a full-time player, because he will still be a very big part of the game in this upcoming season.

According to the L.A. Times, Flash will work out with LeBron James in L.A. prior to his games this season. This is based on a quote he gave to the Los Angeles Times’ Arash Markazi. Here is an excerpt from the Bleacher Report piece.

"“You’re definitely going to see me out there,” Wade told Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times. “I’ll be there early to work out with LeBron before the game starts. I just want to stay around it and be as involved as I can.”"

While you don’t necessarily like to see Dwyane Wade be associated with any other franchise if you’re a Miami Heat fan, this is a case where an exception can probably be made. We know that they are real friends, as evident by everything we have been privy to over the course of their time in the limelight, but also based on the fact that Wade was a huge part of getting LeBron to Miami for the Big 3 era in the first place. If Father Prime wants to be a real friend to his guy, that isn’t all that awful.

With Wade’s son Zaire Wade attending the same Los Angeles High School as LeBron’s son, some may have wondered exactly how that would happen. Well, as it turns out, Wade is also a resident of Los Angeles.

Never fear though Miami Heat faithful, he still knows where home is. This may have made you wonder why he wouldn’t offer his or the same services to players of the Miami Heat and the franchise in general, but that may be in the cards as well. That notion is based on this excerpt from the original report from the L.A. Times.

"You can definitely call me a local because I have to pay taxes here,” Wade said. “My family is here, so most of my time will be spent here now supporting my family, but I also have a family in the Miami Heat that I’m going to go back and show love to.”"

That’s comforting to hear him say as a member of the Miami Heat faithful. We won’t hold this one against him at all because it’s LeBron. Hopefully he doesn’t get that itch out in Tinsel Town, because if he laces them up for anybody in the future, it needs to be the Heat.
