The California Redwood that is the Miami Heat family Tree
The Miami Heat are a very popular team, whether it’s believable or not. Fans and the faithful extend well beyond the realm of what you may think.
Although they are one of the youngest NBA franchises in existence, the Miami Heat have managed to build quite the fanbase. Not to take a quote from a cartoon, but as the great Buzz Lightyear once put it, the fanbase extends to “infinity and beyond”. Lightyear is a character from the Toy Story series of movies that is voiced by Tom Hanks mostly and sometimes by his younger brother Jim Hanks, of course, that is in case you’ve been living under a rock for the past 25 years.
This fanbase includes rappers, other professional athletes, comedians, entertainers, politicians and other public figures from all walks of life. These include names like Rick Ross and Chad Ochocinco(Johnson), both of whom are proud natives of Miami and South Florida.
Another near south Floridian celebrity and professional-athlete that is also a fan of the Miami Heat is none other than NFL dynamo and quarterback killer, Khalil Mack of the Chicago Bears. That would at least be the case as indicated by the following tweet.
While the original publisher of the tweet made the declaration as if it was news, he was quickly affirmed, educated, and informed all at the same time. This trifecta of a lesson came from the official twitter account of the Miami Heat themselves. Check this one out.
Well, that about says it all. When it comes from the source, you have to believe it, right? If that wasn’t enough to convince you, the other subject at hand took it yet a step further than that.
Khalil Mack chimed in himself to let the world know which NBA team he reps and calls his own. With a monster like this on your side, it’s hard to ever take a L. Furthermore, if the Miami Heat ever got too thin at either of the forward positions and with the small ball factor in consideration, Mack might just be the guy to call.
One thing is for certain, he won’t be physically imposed upon by anyone. The only bully on that block would be Mack himself. As the old saying goes, it pays to have friends in high places and when discussing the hierarchy of defensive players or pass rush artists in the NFL, Mack shares a spot or sits exclusively at the top of the mountain.
You may not like his current team or you may not even like football, but one thing you can’t say is that he doesn’t represent his own. From Fort Pierce, Florida to the University of Buffalo, all the way across the country to Oakland, California and back across the midwest to Chicago, Illinois, Mack apparently represents South Florida and the Miami Heat at all times.
If you disagree, that’s something you’ll have to tell him yourself. Considering what he does to offensive lineman well over 300 pounds and opposing quarterbacks, let us here at AUCH be among the first to wish you a ton of good luck in dealing with his response. #HeatCulture
