The Miami Heat have been hot on the trails of Washington Wizards’ guard Bradley Beal, but some think his love of the Mystics implies he’s happy there.

The Miami Heat are a team on the rise after acquiring Jimmy Butler over this past summer. What is said to have been a huge portion of the deciding factor in Butler choosing the Miami Heat, was a wink and nod type of agreement between him and Pat Riley that essentially promised that Riley would land another star to play alongside the two-way superstar. This is where Bradley Beal enters the fray.

While the Miami Heat have reportedly been interested in attempting to acquire Bradley Beal for a few months now, nothing has ultimately come to fruition on that front. With the reports being all over the place when it comes to potential returned compensation, who else the team taking on Beal might have to take off of the Wizards’ hands, and every other detail surrounding a potential move, the only recent solid evidence of potential movement that can be looked at is the presence of a Washington Wizards personnel executive at several Miami Heat preseason contests.

While this implies nothing at all, it could also be an implication about everything. In any event, these rumors or this speculation was only further agitated, or not, by a piece written by Beal in the Players Tribune on October 6th. In the piece titled “Masks On“, Beal not only takes you into a few details of his upbringing  and who or what helped shape him into the man and basketball player he is today, but he also went into great detail about his love for the women’s professional basketball team of Washington, D.C., the Washington Mystics.
