We’re preparing for the coming NBA season by scouting the conference opponents of the Miami Heat. Next up on the list are the Toronto Raptors.

Much like the Miami Heat will be doing this season as they prepare for their opponents, we’re going to break down each conference foe in regards to their offseason and their outlook for the 2019-20 season. We have moved on from the Southeast Division, and now we are looking at the rest of the Eastern Conference. Here, We will be scouting the defending NBA champions, the Toronto Raptors.

Off-season Review

The defending champions struck out big-time during free agency. Their reigning Finals Most Valuable Player, Kawhi Leonard, decided to take his talent to Los Angeles. Aside from that, they are basically the same exact team.

There isn’t much else to discuss here. Here is a list of the new players the Raptors signed:

Now, you tell me, will they have any significant impact on the team’s success? Most likely not.

So, the only thing we can say about their off-season is the fact that they have lost. They lost Leonard and to compound that, they also lost the archetype for the prototypical NBA 3 & D guy in two-time NBA champion, Danny Green.
