Now that we have those things out of the way, there were a few categories specifically that are worth taking a look at. One of the first things that stick out to me here is if you’ll notice, no Miami Heat entities, players, or coaches won any of the questions. No one was chosen as the number one answer in any of these categories, go figure.

The first actual question that sticks out is the playoff seeding question, where GM’s have the Miami Heat as the seventh seed. Really, number seven? Milwaukee and Philadelphia are somewhat understandable, but the rest of the East is, at best, a toss-up to finish ahead of the Heat, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

The next most surprising results came from the ROY question. Although I cannot be sure when these results were tallied, if those answering the questions have seen any of the preseason, then Tyler Herro should have at least gotten one vote. He didn’t receive a singular, solitary vote, which lets you know that someone isn’t paying attention at all.

In this same light, the rookie that “was the biggest steal” question did show a little more love to Miami. After seeing what he has done, Herro was tied for fourth at seven percent wit Bol Bol, another player the Heat drafted. Although Bol was subsequently traded, it says a ton about the Heat personnel people, while Herro not being listed higher says a lot about the current crop of GM’s surveyed here.

The last thing to address on the list was the “best head coach” question. We would like to look firmly and squarely in the face of one Dan Dakich as we point out the fact that only the great Coach Gregg Popovich was ranked higher than Coach Spo(rightfully so).

Shoutout to Sedano for pointing it out as well in the above. Dakich went on a wild, crazy, and obviously erroneous tangent a few months back about how Spo was JAG or just a guy, essentially being an average head coach. Eat that crow pal.

Other than the above few gripes, it was right on point. It was a pretty decently accurate survey of the facts surrounding the NBA this upcoming season. We are just ready for these words, to turn into actual and real play on the court.
