Miami Heat Legend Dwyane Wade may not be stalking the sidelines of the American Airlines arena any longer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see him regularly.

When Dwyane Wade was in the midst of his One Last Dance farewell tour with the Miami Heat, it invoked many emotions. Happiness, sadness, the desire to still have him, and a desire to beg him to come back for another year were just a few of them.

While we did our best to get him to do just that here at AUCH, our attempts were obviously to no avail. After it became readily apparent that he had indeed hung up his sneakers for good, Miami Heat Faithful probably thought they’d only see him on social media or in passing as apart of one of his many guest celebrity appearances. Well, in the words of the famous mascot head dawning Lee Corso, “Not So Fast!”.

This was a tweet from Flash’s personal twitter account on Monday evening. The guesses started to come in fast and furiously(shoutout and R.I.P to Paul Walker). They ranged from was he coming out of retirement to would he be joining the Miami Heat in some fashion as an executive.

As it turns out, it was seemingly neither for Dwyane Wade. While we don’t know if this was in exact reference to the following fact, it does seem rather ironic. This tweet from a certain television network says it all.

Ahhh, our king, our legend, our Dwyane Wade. According to a later tweet from TNT’s account, he will join former Miami Heat champion Shaq and superstar WNBA player Candace Parker as analysts for TNT’s Tuesday night NBA coverage. This crew will seemingly replace the negatively regarded Players Only broadcast of previous seasons.

While we would have loved to have him back in South Beach, in uniform, and about to suit up against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night, this is about the next best thing. Besides, we called for this a while back.

Hopefully, he makes some Thursday night appearances, a sort of T-Mobile Sidekick style reunion with Chuck. Because you can’t ever give the world too much Dwyane Wade.  Our WoW, our Flash, our Father Prime, our #HeatCulture, his house.
