The Miami Heat will open their season against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. Here is everything you need to know about the game.

The Miami Heat are preparing to embark on their 32nd season as an NBA franchise, and it all gets started on Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies. The game is a home game for the Miami Heat, being played at American Airlines Arena.

The Miami Heat will enter this game and their season looking to rebound off of last season that saw them miss the playoffs. Coming back re-tooled and refreshed, the Heat could be looking to potentially even challenge for a top spot in the Eastern Conference.

They will be led by Jimmy Butler, the big-name free agent addition to this Miami Heat team this past offseason, with a ton of veteran leadership to go along with him in Goran Dragic and Udonis Haslem. Young veteran players like Justise Winlsow and Bam Adebayo should continue to take steps forward in their development as well.

The team is as versatile as it has been over the past few seasons and that is in all aspects. With a cast of characters that include Tyler HerroMeyers Leonard, Kelly Olynyk, James Johnson, and Derrick Jones Jr., just to name a few, there should be plenty of excitement about the potential capabilities of this team.

The Memphis Grizzlies come into this game with a pretty unfamiliar roster in terms of what the NBA fan has been used to. There is a certain level of familiarity with the names of their players due to their high college profiles and a few veterans, but they are still a young and relatively inexperienced team.

They boast the likes of the athletic dynamo and number two overall pick in this past NBA draft in Ja Morant and the do it all, yet uber-athletic forward in Jaren Jackson Jr. They do have their fair share of experience within the starting lineup though with those veterans mentioned earlier in Jonas Valanciunas and Kyle Anderson.

While only the Miami Heat are a team in this matchup that looks immediately to have playoff potential, it should be a fun opening night matchup regardless. You will get the opportunity to see some exciting young players, while also being able to see how this new-look Miami Heat team will operate.
