The Miami Heat has as deep a roster this season as they have had over the past few seasons. Coach Spo has more flexibility with lineups than ever before.

The Miami Heat are a team known for being scrappy, strong-willed, and hard working. Often times this has had to be the case to make up for a lack of skill or ability amongst the roster.

Last season in example was a year that saw the Miami Heat lose quite a few games for similar reasons. When crunch time came about, there were times when there were too few options to go to when a big shot or bucket was needed. While Jimmy Butler‘s presence does a ton to help quell that issue, there is another attribute to this year’s Heat team that helps there.

The amount of depth, the versatility of the players and their skillsets, and the multipleness with which lineups can be deployed by this Miami Heat team are almost of unseen proportion in comparison to the last few seasons. There are a ton of different iterations that can take the floor.

If you want to put a name on just a few of these possibilities, you can go: big, quick, small, shooting, ultra big, or big shooting, and that is just a few. While it may seem pretty redundant at times or at first look, it’s actually remarkably interesting at how many different combinations can be concocted. Let’s look at how the few mentioned here might be deployed.
