The Miami Heat face the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday in the first of back to back games against Atlanta. Here is everything you need to know about the game.

The Miami Heat kick off a home and home set against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday. The first game will be in Miami at the American Airlines Arena.

Going into this game with a record of 2-1, after dropping their first game of the season to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday in Minnesota, the Miami Heat will look to get the train back on the tracks. They should have an optimal opportunity to do so on Tuesday, being that they should get Jimmy Butler into the lineup for the first time ever.

While no word or updates have been given on the statuses of James Johnson, Dion Waiters, or the injured Derrick Jones Jr., they may have one, two, or all three of those guys back as well. The Miami Heat could have easily been 3-0 up until this point, save for an Andrew Wiggins explosion that put the game in insurmountable territory for the Heat as the fourth quarter winded down.

The Miami Heat will enter Tuesday’s game being led in scoring by Kendrick Nunn, who’s averaging 22.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists on this young season across three games. While the other high profile rookie in Tyler Herro has yet to get going the way he did during the Summer League and Preseason, he too has been very effective and helpful during his time on the court.

Goran Dragic has thrived in his role as the sixth man off of the bench, which we knew he would, but seeing it happen just hits a little bit different. The rest of the team has been playing really well too, including huge performances from Justise Winslow and Bam Adebayo across the first few games.

Nunn and Herro aren’t the only rookies that are doing their thing though, Chris Silva and Duncan Robinson are for real as well. Robinson had his best game as a pro on Sunday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, going for 21 points, two rebounds, an assist, and two blocks. Silva has impressed, although in very short spurts of court time, but to the point where the Miami Heat should already be looking for a way to convert him to a regular contracted player.

In any event, the Miami Heat should be looking to take both games from the Hawks, as they are more than capable of doing that and especially with the jolt of energy that finally getting Jimmy Butler into the lineup should provide. Here is the rest of the information you need to know about the game.
