The Miami Heat are off to a pretty good start, even with an ugly loss to Denver. With success comes rumors and the latest links Miami to D’Angelo Russell.

The Miami Heat are off to a glorious start in the 2019-20 season, although there have been a few slip-ups along the way. Glorious because although they lost a few that could have gone otherwise, they have managed to accrue two huge victories early on in the season already. One was the manhandling blowout of the Houston Rockets and then a defeating of the Milwaukee Bucks in Milwaukee.

You also have to give them credit here because they have done this while seamlessly infusing somewhat new players into the fold like Kendrick Nunn, Tyler Herro, Meyers Leonard, and most notably Jimmy Butler. Jimmy Butler was meant to be in Miami so it’s no wonder he fits right in, having Heat Culture running through his veins and dripping from his pores and all. While that’s neither here nor there at the moment, what is here and there are the rumors that come along with the buzz of getting off to a hot start.

If you ask some out there in the sports journalism world, the internet, and twitter-sphere, D’Angelo Russell would be a perfect fit for the Miami Heat. In fact, some would even say he is on his way. While there is no proof that he would be a perfect fit nor is currently on his way to South Beach, there also isn’t any proof that this is even something of note.

Most research points to these rumors just being internet fodder. But, if they were real, here’s why it wouldn’t be a good idea for the Miami Heat anyway.
