The Miami Heat are 8-3 overall and undefeated at home this season in South Beach. Can they maintain perfection as the New Orleans Pelicans come to town?

The Miami Heat enter this game on Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans riding an undefeated record at home this season. The New Orleans Pelicans enter this game off of what was probably the biggest win of their young season thus far.

As we know they will be without potential stud rookie and high flyer Zion Williamson for quite a few more weeks, they are also dealing with the injury bug when it comes to other key members of their team. Starting a lineup of Jrue Holiday, Kenrich Williams, JJ Redick, E’Twaun Moore, and Derrick Favors in their 132-127 victory over the L.A. Clippers this past Thursday, they could potentially be without Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Jahlil Okafor, and Josh Hart for this game on Saturday as well.

The Miami Heat won’t have time to worry about what or who they’re missing on the other side though, as they have their own injury woes to be concerned with. While it appears Derrick Jones Jr. and KZ Okpala will be out another game for the Miami Heat, Justise Winslow will also miss his fifth contest with concussion-related issues stemming from a collision with Paul Millsap during a game against Denver way back on the fifth of November.

The Miami Heat have a great shot to win this game at home, being one of the best teams in the league right now and to start the season, facing off against one of the worst teams in the league to start the season and a seemingly depleted one as well. I wouldn’t let the injury reports fool me though, as that’s probably what the Clippers did, but it is clear that they can beat you when you aren’t taking them seriously. Here is everything else you need to know about this game.
