The Miami Heat have shown to be a pretty good collective thus far in the season. It takes good pieces to be a good collection though, and boy are the pieces good.

The Miami Heat are off to about as a good a start to the season as one could have realistically asked for. Save for a few performances away from their home floor and one without Jimmy Butler at the place that you would have wanted to see him most, the home of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Miami Heat have met and exceeded all reasonable expectations.

While a good team takes time, chemistry, and patience to develop, it also takes good individual parts in order to have a pretty good collection. The Miami Heat definitely have the parts we are talking about here and so much so, that they have at least one guy that could find themselves in the running for each and every one of the main regular season awards.

MVP-Jimmy Butler

Though highly unlikely to win the award based on his unselfish play combined with the situation that he finds himself in, being surrounded by quite a bit of talent, Jimmy Butler’s impact and effect on the team thus far would more than qualify him for candidacy. If you don’t believe me, there are others that feel that way.

According to Basketball-Reference’s MVP Tracker, Jimmy Butler is ranked as the number six candidate in their top ten list of candidates so far. The only thing that might be better than that is the fact that Bam Adebayo is ranked ninth. What a perfect segue though.
