The Miami Heat were in Chicago Friday for the first game of a back to back set on the road. With a ton of nostalgia in the air, could the Heat get the win?

The Miami Heat are off to an unbelievable start, even for fans of the team. While they have been perfect at home thus far this season, they haven’t completely been able to take the show on the road.

Well, it just so happens that they would have another opportunity to do so on Friday and subsequently Saturday, as they would be facing the Chicago Bulls and the Philadelphia 76ers in their places, respectively. First things were first though for the Miami Heat as they were sure not to look past the Bulls ahead a big-time matchup against a burgeoning rival and divisional foe.

It would be a homecoming game of sorts for two different members of the Miami Heat, which had a sort of nostalgic feel in the air. While this was Kendrick Nunn‘s first game as professional and furthermore a starter in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois, it was also another return to the place where it all started for Jimmy Butler.

As mentioned though, they didn’t let that bother them, as the Miami Heat took care of their business. Kendrick Nunn finished with 21 points, three rebounds, and two assists, while Jimmy Butler had 27 points, five rebounds, and seven assists. Bam Adebayo finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists as well.

Duncan Robinson had a decent night, although nothing like his night for the record books during the last game though. As Coach Spoelstra has alluded to though, it’s his “ignitability” that really sets him apart. This refers to his ability to get hot and sink a bunch of shots on opposing defenses, an “avalanche” as described by Coach Spo.

As mentioned above, the Miami Heat head to Philadelphia to face a tough 76er team on Saturday. Reports seem to indicate that they may be without Josh Richardson for tomorrow’s matchup, but they still have plenty to worry about even without the former Miami Heat swingman. The Heat can get the job done though, they just have to play some of their best ball on the road this season to do so.
