The Miami Heat will continue their home stretch on Sunday against the Chicago Bulls. Will they continue to do what they are supposed to against bad teams?
The Miami Heat are on fire thus far through a quarter of the season, no pun intended, and they don’t look as though they intend to be extinguished anytime soon. Their blaze is being fueled by the inferno like play of the pieces on their team.
Jimmy Butler may be having his absolute best season as a pro. Bam Adebayo is starting to fully come into his own, embracing his abilities not only as a complete and utter defensive stopper across each and every position(yes, all five of them), but also as a point center.
Offensively, Bam Adebayo is capable of grabbing the board, taking it to the other end in order to distribute for a score or distribute, reposition, and then score the ball himself. Simply put, Bam can do it all.
Justise Winslow is still an attacking, distributing, defending demon. Goran Dragic has breathed the fire of The Dragon all over opposing defenses this season off the bench, to such a tune that he should be firmly planted in the runnings for the Sixth Man Of The Year Award. The rest of the team has played well too.
The second-year sharp shooting Duncan Robinson has come into his own, igniting and shooting the lights out on several occasions this season. The Miami Heat rookies have been an absolute pleasure to watch as well.
The creative niftiness of Tyler Herro with the ball in his hands, the sheer aggressive scoring ability of Kendrick Nunn, and the tenacious UD-like play of Chris Silva has almost brought a tear to the eye at times. With all that going on, it’s no wonder the Heat are playing so well this season thus far.
With all the talent on hand, they will face a rather easier matchup on Sunday. They beat the Chicago Bulls, who they’ll face Sunday evening, a week or so back in Chicago to a score of 116-108. The game finished only eight points apart, but in all honesty, it wasn’t that close.
The Bulls are a sneaky team though capable of beating the Heat if they let them hang around, so they will need to go in and of course, handle their business. The Bulls are coming off of a tough defeat at the hands of the lowly Golden State Warriors, so they should surely be ready to go and especially when you consider the defeat they took at the hands of the Miami Heat earlier this season. Here’s everything else you need to know about this game.
