Miami Heat vs Los Angeles Lakers: Preview, Watch/Listen, Odds

The Miami Heat will welcome a familiar face back into American Airlines Arena on Friday night. LeBron James and his streaking L.A. Lakers will be in town.

The Miami Heat will face a familiar foe on Friday night as they welcome a familiar face back to South Beach for what is sure to be a tough game. The Los Angles Lakers, sporting a 22-3 record themselves, come into American Airlines Arena for a duel with another of the NBA’s best. Being led by their two superstars in LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers already took the Heat down once this season on their home floor in the Staples Center.

Although the Miami Heat sport an impressive 11 game winning streak on their home floor, they are not the only ones with a streak of sorts to boast about. The Lakers themselves come in on a five-game winning streak overall after being knocked off back on Sunday, December 1st by the Dallas Mavericks in the Staples Center.

Justise Winslow won’t be on the floor for the Miami Heat tomorrow due to lower back soreness and neither will Goran Dragic. As if the people who play being missing wasn’t enough, Dion Waiters has found himself suspended again, which I’m sure isn’t too great for overall team chemistry.

With Justise specifically out though, you should prepare to see a ton of Jimmy Butler/LeBron James matchups, while we may even get a James Johnson sighting. Something else to watch for is how effective defensively Bam Adebayo can be on AD, as he has held down another preeminent forward this year that was on a tear prior to their meetup in Pascal Siakam.
