The Miami Heat took a tough L at the hands of the Lakers on Friday night. They are right back at it on Saturday though, a chance for redemption in Dallas.
The Miami Heat had the chance to avenge one of their losses this season on Friday night against the Los Angeles Lakers. It was also another opportunity to put on display to the world exactly what was going on down in South Beach. While the world got the chance to see that this Miami Heat team can be the real thing after a few more tinkers and upon returning to full health, they were not able to successfully avenge the road loss they took from the Lakers a little while back.
The game was pretty back and forth throughout, with the Miami Heat mostly dominating the first half, taking an eight-point lead into the second half at 59-51. The third quarter is where the game was won for the Lakers though, as the fourth quarter was a washed quarter at 25 points apiece per team. The third quarter saw the Lakers not only come out and make up the gap that was that eight-point lead, but also go ahead by 3, outscoring the Heat 37-26 in the third and that was the game.
The Miami Heat have a chance to avenge this latest Los Angeles defeat, that erased their perfect home record, on Saturday against Luka Legend, Luka Doncic, and his Dallas Mavericks. While it could possibly offer slight redemption for Friday night’s loss, this isn’t an easy game that the Heat are headed into.
While Kristaps Porzingis hasn’t been consistently explosive in a Mavericks jersey just yet, you know he is capable, while Doncic has been lighting up opposing defenses all season thus far. Aside from those tidbits, here is everything else you need to know about the game.
