The Miami Heat have a rather tough matchup at home on Monday night. They have the feisty and defensive-minded Utah Jazz coming into their building.

The Miami Heat routed the New York Knicks in their last game on Friday night. It was never really close. The Miami Heat started the game by blitzing the Knickerbockers of the big apple and never really let off the gas.

The game got closer as time dwindled down, but again, it still wasn’t that close. The Miami Heat ended up winning the game by 15 points, to a tally of 114-129. This was the least they could do in light of the fact that a former Heat assistant and Miami favorite in Coach Fiz was unjustly let go by the organization.

That was bound to have happened though, as they were absolutely supposed to beat the Knicks, right? Well, Monday isn’t such a sure thing as they have the rough and tumble Utah Jazz coming into their building. While they aren’t quite the offensive juggernauts that every team in the NBA seems to try and be these days, they are capable of totally shutting you down from a defensive perspective.

Although they will be without Mike Conley it appears, the Miami Heat will need to contain Donovan Mitchell to increase their chances of winning this game. They will also want to do their best to keep Rudy Gobert off of the offensive glass, averaging nearly four offensive boards per contest, as a high output night for him there could kill the Heat by itself.

The Miami Heat will be without Justise Winslow again, but at least they got Goran Dragic back on last game. Dragic had been having an awesome season before going down and is a huge part of whatever success the Heat hope to have this season. Here is everything else you need to know about the game.
